The Revolutionist and the Lover

I keep hearing this idea that has been floating around now for quite some time. It's about God and Jesus. I have been around God and Jesus, who both happen to be spitting images of one another and I know them/him. And this is not what he does. I know Jesus and he is not a revolutionary or revolutionist. He does not need or fulfill that title, but I keep hearing it. Not only have I heard it, but I've been on the recieving end of that line of thought when carried out to it's only logical conclusion and I still bare the scars and the regret.

I gave up trying to label Jesus as anything but love and that in and of itself is too complex. Anytime someone lables Jesus with anything besides love, you put him in a box. Only love is infinate "Love never fails" 1 Corintians 13.

I'm an english creative writing major so definitions or metaphysics are the specialty of my field. Metaphysics is just definitions and the relationship between definitions period. Don't let anyone tell you different. The world would like us to believe that there is more but that is because the world wants to be the authority on how to define God's creation, but that ain't happin'in. Anyway my point is I have a good idea when people don't know what they are talking about.

If someone starts throwin around words that don't mean what they use them to mean it means they don't know what they are talking about.

or

If someone starts throwing around ideas to reach a conclusion that the idea is not ment to reach then the conclusion is that they haven't thought it through.

No revolutionary love-love existed long before anything so it needs no revolution.
No revolutionary ideas-"There is no new thing under the sun"
No revolutions for Christ-"Put away your sword for those who live by the sword will die by the sword." (Revolution was the context of the verse look it up)

There is a great revolutionist in the Bible, however.

Jesus is discerning lover who would spare a city of wickedness for 10 righteous people.
Jesus is a complete lover who believes in what I was created to do.
Jesus is a wise lover so I will never be able to predict him
Jesus is a just lover who will keep me in his grace.
And
the
list
goes
on
and
on...unto our eternity.

I think....and this is just my opinion, before we get too caught up in our reckless zeal that God knows and only him. And the less we say...the better. What do you know? That's in the Bible too.

"The prudent man gives thought to his ways..."

No Title

Rather than rant and rave on some soap box or some profound idea that came to me while pouting about my lack of a life I'll just post some lirics to a song I wrote about a year ago. Just in case anyone cares...Oh yea, I really do have a life, but...you know....I'm not very good at living it.

Life Is

I don't know where my sleep goes
It flows outside through the cracks of all my closed doors
And I don't know that time ever sleeps
Just keeps moving on doesn't mind running right over me
And listen to where this thought is
Lost in space and I could never find other ways
Closed case on this end
Stop thinking now and let's just think how to start again

And all this time I'm giving to this place
Won't get me anywhere with all the headaches
And I'm not singing this song for long

And I don't know how this life is
It twists and turns everytime I try to do what's right
And all the ways to fail are endless
I'm coming up short everytime I try to come alive
Man, this story sounds familiar
But one thing I don't do is cut out before I've made it to the end

And all this time that I'm giving to this place
Won't get me anywhere with all the heartaches
And I'm here singing this song some more
But I"m not sitting in here for long
I'm picking things up and and I'm moving on
And I'm not singing this song for long

I can't keep singing this song for long
I gotta live life when I'm not that strong
My chance is comin' up to try it again

Test of Love

There is a new guy at work. I work in a lumbar yard, it's hard work and the guys there expect it out of you. I've enjoyed working there, I get along with all the fellas and get things done, so I fit in or a least make it possible for everyone to be nice to me.
This new guy however is not the case. He can't work well, he's kind of weak, he has absolutely zero wit, and to make that worse, he likes to talk alot, and you can tell he has issues with people not acknowleging him, (probably for the afore mentioned reasons) so when he talks to you he forces you to participate in the conversation by asking questions like, "Don't you think..." and "Would you believe it...." and on and on.
He's 25 and he looks, goofy and maybe a little older than twenty five, but he's all of about 5'5" tall.
The guy annoys the crap out of everyone.
Think about it, little work, lots of talk, little coherence, and you have to participate, you can't just listen and make comments as you feel becuase he's always extracting them from you. Oh yea, and he smokes alot too. Eveytime I go on delivery with him he smokes about five times and I can't hardly breath when I inhale smoke. So that just gets bad.
The truth is I don't like the guy. But when I see him by himself, becuase no one likes to be around him my heart breaks. Very unmanly I know. I don't pity him, he has a certince amount of diginity. But I feel bad that him or anyone would have to feel alone or bitter.
So...I try to get along with him....but man I suck at it. When ever I get around him I just get exhasperated. He can't just hang out, he can't just chill out. I just want to tell him chill out, you don't have to talk all the time. At one point I did, and it was not very loving. I told him I can't carry on a conversation while driving. Which was a lie, I can't carry on a conversation with him while driving because while I'm driving the truck he's driving me crazy.
You talk about a test of love. Sometimes I wonder if I love him or just patronize him. I definately don't like him. But if I could save him from getting fired I would. If I could help him be more likable, without being condesending or jerkish, I would. If I ever get the chance to share Jesus with him I will. But I can't stand the guy, just being around him makes me bitter. His voice is in my head. My co-workers have no desire to help him.
I can only handle him for half a day - that's my limit.
Ug...is this the best the human race can do? This is pathetic, no wonder so many people turn into psycos who hate their fellow man. He wasn't at work to day and everyone, including me just gets more and more annoyed and meaner to him. I don't know...
The dude needs some love he needs someone to acknowlege him for him I suppose. But no one likes him so no one acknowleges him. Man, being holy...it's really hard.

Legend of Myth: Prelude Continued

There's no way I can have a constant schedule with this. Whenever....

I''ve decided to do a character profile so I don't have to take breaks in the middle of telling the story to describe the chracters.

Mica: Middle aged. He preferes axes, since he has lived most of his life in the wilderness. He is about 6', 200 pounds. He has lived in the wild since he was a teenager, by choice because he becamse sick of people in general. His parents died in his adolesence and he was adopted by his uncle, who cared mostly about money, a trait that made his descision to live mostly alone all the more firm. His fighting style is self-developed and well developed and, therefore, hard to fight. He wears no armor because he perfers quick movement. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Mica is well known for exploration and is called upon quite frequently to explore dangerous new areas in the Northern Lands, which is vast.

Silas: In his mid twenties, 6' 160. He is a swordsman and uses the broadsword. He joined the elite guards of his country at 17 and flew through training, compared to most his age. He was top in his division, but not the favorite because of an annoying tendancy to doubt and make it known and because of another problem, he won't conform to their code of ethic. Hence why he is allowed to take this adventure. He wears no helmet. He does wear a silver breast plate with a running shadowy horse, the sign of his country. The sword he carries was a gift from his mentor, who took him in and taught him after he was orphaned due to a war between to counties. His doubts obviously come from a survival instinct developed from being an orphan and on his own untill he was about twelve or so. In battle, however, he has surprised quite a few people with a quick change of attitude.

Titus: He is older than Silas, but not by much. He fell into some trouble and was promised pardon if he accepted this assignment, the trouble indirectly steemed from a secret relationship between the prince's younger sister and Titus. The prince had him thrown in dungeons for life, but decided to use him for this mission. The deal was pardon and the oppertunity to persue the young princes. The Prince, of course, does not expect Titus to make it out alive, and has payed Mica quite hansomely to make sure of this. Mica does not plan to go through with this, but is always looking for some extra money to help his needs. Mica has informed Titus and they have agreed to hide Titus in a rural village after the adventure is over. Titus' armor is the same as Silas's except his horse is completely black with white eyes. The color of the eyes signified rank and Titus was a higher rank than Silas. Though not even close to Silas's swordsmanship, Titus has better people skills. He also carries a broadsword, but his was issued by the Elite.

The story continues...

The two young men fell asleep quickly despite their fears. Mica doused the fire and...watched. Most of his watch went peacfully. He thought of previous adventures and places that he had seen in his life and compaired them to the present. There was no comparison. What happened here was not natural, and he only had natural experiences to go from. He tried not to strain his eyes in the darkness, and eventually he just closed them completely and listened. He kept watch this way for about an hour untill he happened to open them for the sake of opening them. When he did he was looking straight at a pair of glowing eyes. He quickly looked around to see if there were any more. There was not and Mica and the eyes continued to stare at the other. The glowing eyes then began to pace back and forth as if trying to decide what to do. Mica did not wish to wake Silas or Titus for a pair of glowing eyes, though it did seem a good enough reason, so he just kept watching to see what the eyes would do.
"What is this thing doing," Mica thought to himself, "I wish I had eyes that glowed in the dark." The eyes continued to pace back and forth, and Mica continued to watch turning every few moments to make sure there was no ambush. Mica finally rose and drew his ax. "If you're gonna do something you better hury up and get the guts to do it."
The eyes stopped moving. Just then Titus stirred and awoke. When he saw the eyes he immediatly got out his sword, "What is that thing?"
"A pair of eyes. That's all I know. It doesn't seem to be a threat. Seems too scared. It's probably waiting for us to go to sleep."
"Well, I'm not going back to sleep, now, so it can go ahead and starve," Titus wispered back.
Titus picked up a piece of the fire that was half way in and threw it at the eyes. The coal landed near the pair of eyes and whatever it was fled immediatly. Silas woke up right then.
"What's going on?"
"Nothing thankfully," Mica said.
"What was going on?"
"Don't worry about it, man," Titus replied, "It's my watch I think, Mica."
"Yea, about. I can take it for another hour."
"No, I'll take it."
Mica made a place for himself in the dark looked around and then lay down quickly falling asleep. Silas got up and took a seat next to Titus facing the opposite way.
"I can't go back to sleep," Silas said.
"I wouldn't be able to either," Titus said,"I think this place is going to require my full attention."
Silas nodded. After a few minutes of silence Silas had to make the comment, "That Valor girl was really pretty."
"No kidding, it's a shame she had to go into hiding," Titus replied.
"How old did she look to you?"
"I don't know, about 17."
"Hmmmm. Surel did a good job swipping the kingdom from them."
"Yea, I felt bad for the young man he killed. Just three more days and she would have been married to him and the Kingdom would have stayed in Valor hands to an extent."
"I hear she didn't care for him. I didn't care for what I heard about him. I think Surel had more reasons for killing him than just securing his power. Anyway, The law about having a male to run the country is stupid if it can allow people like the Vakent family to come to power. Except for your girl. All of Surel's dealings with the other kingdoms have been shady from the start. And they sure don't seem to be caring about ending their war with Coastsheir anytime soon."
"I don't know. I hate thinking about that war. That's another reason I took this adventure," Titus sighed,"Now I don't know which is worse."
"Hmmph."
"This group of missions was good at the beginning, but now everything is creepy."
"Yea, I can't shake the feeling at the pit of my stomache."
"Listen!" Titus wispered.
The two listened in the dead silence.
"What are we listening for?" Silas wispered. The forest made no sound. After waiting for a few minutes, they finally calmed down enough to continue in wispers, and so passed the night, speaking of people back home and possible treasure ahead. The eyes that had caught Mica's attention returned. Titus and Silas were slightly alarmed, and watched them as they continued their talk, untill dawn. When the sun rose the coming light drove the eyes and some of the fear away.
Titus woke Mica to prepare for the journey ahead.
"We're continuing aren't we," Silas asked.
Mica nodded, "It would be just as bad to return to the Prince as to stay here."
"So what is our next move?"
"The tower," Titus replied. He walked over to take a look. Everything was green again, but misty and surreal, like the life was alive but seemed ready to fall into a different and darker reality at any moment.
"This is truely a cursed land," Titus commented to himself.
"We're going down the cliff," Mica said, "It looks climbable. It's not completely straight down anway. Put loops in your ropes and use them to hang on to the rocks and limbs. We're going to take it very slow."
"Oh boy," Titus said.
After making the adjustments in their long ropes they immediatly began the long journey down. Using the rope like a giant conveyor-belt they hooked loops to different out-jetting objects. They made their way slowly, just as Mica had said, being very careful to hook a loop in the rope to something very stable. Silas was at the top; it was his job to undo the last loop. Mica was in the middle in case anything happened he could get to either one. It was Titus's job to make sure the loops were put on a secure hole. They made their way down, down and down some more; the view was incredible. They could not help but stop to look at the vast delicate misty green vally with the tower almost right in the middle. The bare rocks that jetted our from the side of the green cliff had little black swirls that made them visible from anywhere. Out across the valley they could see where black faces of the cliff revealed themselved from behind the forestry growing on the side. The swirls were so many that from a distance the rocks looked solid black. There was much shrubery on the cliff edges, so the men had plenty to hang their rope on besides rocks. After a half day of climbing the adveturers ran into their biggest difficulty. They reached a place where the cliff over hung.
"Mica, we have a situation," Titus called. He had been placed at the bottom because he was the least agile, so to speak, since all three were in excellent shape.
"Hang tight," Mica called back, "Let us catch up so we can use the whole rope."
Mica came down right above Titus and Silas came right above Mica, of course.
"It drops down the rest of the way doesn't it," Mica said to Titus.
"Yea, there is no where to hang our ropes that I can see."
"Ahhhg." Titus sighed. They were only a hundred or so feet from the bottom.
Silas sighed, "There's got to be someway to finish this out. How much rope do we have?"
"We may have enough to reach something," Mica replied, "Let's untie it."
Silas found something to hang onto and reached and untied the end next to him that was not holding Mica and Titus and let it drop so that only Mica's loop was holding them.
"The loops in the rope are costing us footage, " Silas said.
"Undo some more of the loops," Mica said.
They undid some more of the loops and let the rope down furthur. When Mica and Titus undid the loops between them, Titus slipped down the rope to the next loop and undid it. Their shoes had grippers on them, since Calton was a mountainous country, every one had climbing gear. He contiued this untill he came to the end of the line.
"Still about twenty feet short," he said to himself.
"How far?" Mica called.
"So close, yet so far," Silas called, "Strap!"
They all hung there for a few minutes untill Titus decided to just go for it. He swung a little to hit a pack of bushes and let go. He yelled and hit the bushes dead on and slid through falling into a river that ran along side the clif. He rose to find that not only the bushes and a river but another deformed deer had broken his fall.
"Glad I didn't land on those antlers." he said pulling himself out of the water.
Minutes later Mica came falling down, and then Silas splashed behind him.
"Maybe we should clean one of these and bring it back for a mount," Titus said.
"Nice," Silas said coming out of the water sopping wet. He stooped to look at the deer.
They were startled by growling directly behind them. They turned around to see a bear standing there. It was very large grey and ugly. Half of its face looked like it was decaying and the hair had patches missing.
"Watch out," Mica yelled. The bear charged the middle of the group, but everyone got out ot the way. Silas was the closest to the charge since he happened to be in the middle, so he quickly drew his sword and gashed the belly of the bear as he move out of the way. The bear stumbled and fell, but immediatly stood back up. The wound was deep and the blood looked infected and green. The bear gave roar and tried another charge, but it fell to the ground in convulsions. Then it expired. Mica walked up to the bear and stabbed it in the heart. The blood oozed out like slime. None of the group needed to say it, they all knew it was disgusting and they did not want to see it anymore.
"Let's keep going," Mica said.
They began cutting their way throught the forest slowly, always keeping a lookout for anymore hideous monsters that might try to harm them. The trek through the forest proved to be just as difficult as the climb down into it. The thickage was unyeilding as they hacked and slashed through the vines and bushes. Sometimes the trees would be so close that Mica would have to take time to cut down a tree in order for them to advance.
"How do we know we're going the right direction?" Silas asked.
"I remeber the angle of the sun to the path we need to walk," Mica replied.
"I can't even see the sun," Titus said.
"I can see it enough."
The two followed Mica, since it was obvious he knew what he was doing. They walked as quietly as they could in the lush forest, hoping not to attract any attention. But the forest always seemed quieter and more menacing. They made their trek without anymore incidents for that day. That night the forest turned into death just as it had done the night before. They got very little rest and continued their march the next day eating, with much concern, the familiar plants that they knew had nutrition. They saw new vegitation as well and they wondered at some of the birds they saw. They spent another day traveling. And on the day after that, at last, they came to the structure in late afternoon. It looked like a huge spike, bigger than any tower they had ever seen. The building they had seen, shot way above the forest and all of it was overgrown with vines and bush. The entrance, or what looked like the entrance was completely over grown.
"It's gigantic," Silas said.
"The trees won't go near it," Mica observed, "We couldn't see this clearing from up there because of the tall growth I guess."
"This place looks like bad news," Titus said, "It's big and abandonded, except by vines murderous plant."
"I agree," Silas replied.
"We camp here in the open tonight," Mica said, "We chop our way in tomorrow. I kind of want to know what's inside."
"Yea," the two elites agreed.
The huge structure inspired awe and some fear. This place that had not been visited for so long and was so abandoned was going to be breeched. The party began to think of things like treasure. They wondered if this place could be inhabitable again and if these relics could be revived. The death of the night could not stop them from romantisizing the ideas. And so they set up watch and spent the night eager for the next day.

Legend of Myth: Prelude

Now that there is some back ground, here is the begining of what I hope is a fairly long and good story. It will be devided into chapters and I will try to pump the entire chapter out in the span of a weekend, but I don't know. I hope it's an enjoyable read, at least for the guys, I like love stuff to an extent too, so there will be mushy stuff. Ug. Anyway...here is the intro that begins a...something....

Once upon a time, on a planet way far away...

"Watch out!" Mica yelled.
Just then a fairly hefty ax split the head of what looked like a deer into two pieces.
"What the..." Silas gasped ducking out of the way. He sat on the ground stunned. Titus walked up to the ugly animal. "I think it's a deer," he said, "But look at the antlers and the legs and hoofs, they're all narly and twisted." The two young men and Mica moved closer to the beheaded animal to see what they could make of it.
"That is disgusting," Silas remarked squinting his face.
The three looked at the animal for a few minutes, then Mica looked up to see what they had gotten themselves into .
"This is....not a nice place. "
The others looked up at their surroundings for the first time. They were shocked at what they saw. A land that was literally decaying. The trees all had life, but the life seemed burdensome and drained. No grass could be seen and the sun beat down on the dry sandy forest.
"The leaves are like a grayish-green colour," Titus said, "The trees look like they're barely alive."
"They're all twisted, " Silas said, "like this deer."
"I'm pretty sure everything here is going to be twisted. No suprise, " Mica added, "It's been abandoned for this long, there must be a reason."
Mica was the oldest, about in his mid thirtees. Silas and Titus were both mid twenties. All three had been sent on assignment from a kingdom in North Contintent to explore the cursed South Lands. No report had been made on the continent for 4000 years. No one in North Continent knew it had been exactly that long, that is why they sent explorers.
Mica was a well known explorer and had explored and discovered many new areas in vast North Continent. Silas and Titus were sent to aid Mica and to ensure success, supposedly; they were part of the elite of the kingdom, Calton, that sent them; though young, they were very skilled even amonst the elite. But personalites and situations back home made them expendable, so here they were. "Barely out of the mountain pass and we get attacked by...by...a killer deer?" Titus exclaimed, "What happened here?"
"This place is gonna give me the creeps," Silas remarked.
"What do you mean 'gonna'?" Titus replied.
"It's getting dark. It took us three days and most of today to get through that pass," Mica said, "Let's go as far as we can go and set up camp. There's plenty of rotten wood from those dying trees."
"Camping in this place is not striking my fancy," Silas said.
"The pay we are recieving for this trip will I bet," Titus replied, "So no whinning."
"Let's go young'uns," Mica said. The boys cringed and followed Mica.
"I hate it when we calls us that,"Titus muttered under his breath to Silas. Silas nodded and they walked on. They had come quite aways to explore the mysterious South Lands. Rations were not needed much because they were all trained to live on the land, though they weren't too thrilled about living on this land. Mica had lived in the wild since adolesence. The three were very reluctant to take the deer they killed for meat, but they had no choice. As they walked Silas and Titus stayed a ways behind Mica.
"Titus, that girl we met in the Outcaste Village, who was she?" Silas asked.
"Did you see her mother?"
"No, why?"
"That was the Valor family. "
"Are you serious? Wow, that's were they've been hiding?"
"Evidently, pretty good hiding spot. Prince Surel would never go looking there for them; they're as good as dead."
"Calton keeps those guards at that post all of the time?" Silas inquired thinking it a little ridiculous, "they take the segregation seriously."
"Yea, no one wants those weirdos in their kingdom?"
"No kidding, like that kid whose eyes would turn black. That was kinda' scarey."
"He scared all three of us. Even Mica looked a little surprised."
"You serious?"
"Yea, I saw his face. He's been around too, so if he is surprised then I know it's something. Just like this place. I can tell he's a little in the dark on how to go about exploring this place."
"I knew this was going to be a weird adventure. There's a reason people leave this place alone. Why do we have to go messing around with it?"
"I think because the Prince wants to know if there is anything to help us in the war."
"I think..."
"Hey fellas," Mica called from a distance in the woods, "come take a look."
The two hurried to Mica to see what was the matter. As they aproached him they noticed the forest getting greener and more lifelike, but the sun was going down fast and they couldn't see as well. Eventually they began to wade through thick bushes and just as they came to Mica he motioned for them to stop.
"Come slowly," He told them, "There is a drop off. I can see it from here. Come around your left until you are straight in front of me and then come to me."
As they did they saw where the brush had hidden the drop off.
"Didn't take long for us to hit our next obstacle," Silas said chuckling.
"Looks like we're not off the mountain yet," Mica said motioning them to look through a hole he cut through the brush. Titus and Silas edged their way to the hole to look. They were on top of a huge cliff overlooking a huge vally, a round vally with life and trees and brush.
"Whoa," Titus said, "That's a little more normal looking."
"It's gorgeous," Mica replied, "look there's a place to bathe. Like it matters."
To their left quite a few miles away was a very clearly visible water fall coming from the cliff. The pond it fell into was visible as well, but it quickly ran under the thick vegetation.
"Look," Mica pointed to the center of the vally. There stood a large structure that was green with vines and over growth. It was quite larger than the vegetation around, and it was very very ominous.
"I guess that's our first stop," Mica said, "Tommorrow that is. The sun's going down. Let's set up camp."
"Alright," Titus and Silas said.
They turned around and stopped in horror at what they saw. All the green vegetation they had waded through was now decayed and rotten. The forest was almost pitch black and the trees no longer looked alive. The air grew cold almost instantly as they looked at the change that just took place.
"What in the..." Titus began. They stood and looked at each decaying limb and bush. Cob webs replaced leaves on the trees and closer they came to sunset the more the forest decayed. Mica regained his thoughts.
"Let's get that fire started," Mica said.
The three got to work immediatly and within minutes they had a nice fire, but the forest only grew more dark and decietful.
" Now I'm fully creeped out," Silas said, "Guys, I don't think this place is for exploring."
"It's weird no doubt," Titus replied.
"Weird? How about 'evil'?" Silas said looking seriously at Titus, "it went from life to death while our backs were turned. Mica, have you ever seen anything like this?"
"No, not even close," Mica responded trying to look around, but there was not anything to look at now. The forest was completely dark, "there is no telling what this place has in store for us."
"That deer was bad news,"Silas exclaimed,"How many deers with narly legs and massive twisted antler's have you seen?"
"Alright, chill out, Silas," Titus said, "It's scary, yes, now chill. Freaking out isn't helping us, but it will start annoying us."
Silas tried to calm down, but his nerves were even more frayed when he notice that the woods could not be seen at all, not even with fire light. He kept his fear to himself after noticing that Titus and Mica both looked rattled as well. They sat and listened in the silence...
"I don't know if I can sleep here," Titus said.
"We're going to have to," Mica replied, "We'll keep watch. I've got first watch. You two can decide whose got second. Watch untl you can't watch any longer. "
"Are we going to keep exploring?" Silas asked.
"Yes," Mica said,"it's scary, but I want to know about it? I'm curious to know what happened here and why it's cursed and, specifically, why it's cursed like this. "
"I am too, actually," Titus added, "The Outcastes have lived on the edge of this place for generations, but they never came back in. What the heck is here?"
"Death," Silas replied,"look around you, it's obvious what is here, decay, death. When I get back, I vow never to mess with anything that has been avoided for thousands of years. No one has ever come back from here, and now we have."
"High pay is in store for us," Mica replied,"Let's stop talking about it; it's bad enough we have to live it. Get ready for the night."
They stayed awake a little longer and talked about what they would do the next day. After a while they decided it was time to rest. Silas and Titus took their spots to keep warm in the sudden chill and Mica took his place for watch duty.

That's it for now. Next post will be Saturday, Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

Rendering an Opinion III

Read this searies in chronological order, unless order means nothing to you or you enjoy going from last to first, whatever, I myself am a squiggly and would do such things.

I just thought of this, I've learned to be careful of people who never render their opinions. Who never tell anyone what they think. The ones that everyone ignores because they never say anything or tell anyone what they think out loud. People in general tend to discard those types of people. If someone never makes their presence known in someway or another then something is very wrong. Don't ignore those people, don't push them though. Actually, I really don't know how to react to psycos. I would just be very nice and try to acknowlege them as people and I don't know, I probably would just be straight up and say, "Hey man, I don't want to die, please don't kill me. I know you're alive. I want to be alive too." Ahhh opinions, if you have one, keep it to yourself, if you usually do, speak up, and don't kill me.

Rendering an Opinion II

Oh yeah, that does not included my blogs, only in real life, blogs are all about opinions, if I understand it correctly, I eliminated the comments section for the shear irony of it. Opinions don't bother me that much. Sometimes they're nice. But by an large, I could do without a lot of them. And sometimes I get the feeling that the same is vice versa going the other way. Why do I not care about other people's opinions? I have many reasons for this. The main one is that the Bible clearly states that only fools render their opinions every chance they get. I know I've read through many, many times. I have many opinions, but I prefer to keep them to myself most of the time. If I can, unless I want to get on Andrew's or TC's, or Dusty's nerves. I can remeber my father telling me that chick's don't dig an opinionated guy. Maybe that's my deal...Anyway. I don't like giving my opinion except on certain occasions when I know what I say is well thought out and well informed and well timed, other wise you are just uttering foolishness, or casting you pearls before swine, or missing the point. All in all opinions are like butt-holes, everyone has got one, and not all butts are pretty. So by and large I tune them out, many are uniformed or half baked or unconnected or just plain incoherent Then I think to myself, why a blog on opinions, then I remeber oh yeah....that's why. I remeber writing an entire paper on why I don't care about most people's opinions.

There is a poem that goes with this but I would butcher it...it was really good though. I'm surpised I remember it. Something about a wise old owl that harldly spoke and the less he spoke the wiser he became and the wiser he became the less he spoke and why can't we be like that wise old owl.

For anyone who actually reads my blogs...Andrew told me I needed to update my blog with Myth of Legend or Legend of the Myth or whatever I named it....Andrew, it takes time to write a good story....I'm not sure I'm good at it so DON"T RUSH ME. Other wise it will turn into a "Bob killed the bad guy: The End" type story. For those dying to know the story don't worry, it's a-coming

Myth of Legend

The name means nothing. I just needed a title for closure. I am an english creative writing major, so, well, I like to write and since this is a publishing center, I think I'll use the loop hole to write a story.

When ever I get the chance I'll post a little of my story called "Myth of Legend," until I think of a better name. I like role playing games, Lord of the Rings, sword and magic and stuff with lots of exploration and treasure mixed in, so that's the kind of story I will be publishing. Anyway, no one has to care, I just thought it would be an easy way to publish something.

A lot of ideas will be presented, but the main aim is entertainment. So here goes....

Here is the planet, made of five continents. Humans inhabit this planet. As with humans on any planet, war is rampant on this planet. The most famous war to rock this planet was the War of the Three Tribes. This war, as one might expect, devastated the whole continent, which was known as the Southern Lands or South Lands. The three kingdoms fought with different goals in mind, one defense the other power the other envy. All three eventually became so engrossed with the war that reasons no longer mattered. While the war raged, a man who posed great power beyond the three kingdoms took notice of one of the tribes in particular and waited.

One of the kingdoms discovered something of great force that this man wanted. The name of the kingdoms matters not anymore, they were all destroyed. When the man named Hirst acquired the force that the kingdom had discovered, he laid waste to the whole Southern land. A few of survivors of the kingdom who discovered the force challenged Hirst. They managed to seal him in a cease of time and space in a single sealed room.

They had sent their families away to other countries to be safe in case they failed.

The effort to seal Hirst cost the heroes their lives. But the ones sent away to other countries were banished from other kingdoms and never allowed to enter. Many years passed and all kingdoms forgot why the outcasts were even cast out, but because they were outcasts they were never allowed to enter.

They suffered oppression in their state, forced to live outside the pleasures that other nations could provide and outside any amount of influence. The South Lands were cursed, and the numbers of the outcasts becames small. Unfortunately, the evil in the South Land is soon to be released, and with no one else possessing the knowledge, history or skill to challenge him again, Hirst will overlook and leave himself open to the Outcastes' intervention if they should chose to stop him. And with no endangerment to themselves, the Outcastes will chose whether or not they will save a world that refused to redeem them....

Peace.

A Life I didn't chose

This is my first blog. I guess I can start with the first thing you see. My name.

On day when I was discontented with my self I decided to give myself a pen name. You know something cooler than my real name. Like Mark Twain.

Of course, I had to be spiritual so I started flipping through the Bible to see what names stuck out. There were names like Abaishi, Joab, Habbakuk, Asahel (which is kind of cool), Silas, Cyrus. But I needed names that I thought described me.

So I chose names that identified my core beliefs: Joel, which means: Jehova is God; and Obadiah, which means servant of Jehova. Since then I have grown to appreciate my own name, which is a variant of Jacob, which means surplanter - not the most flattering name. But he did have his name changed to Isreal, which when you get past the idiom facade means, Prince with God.

I still use Joel Obadiah because it is what I believe. God has called me to do whatever he asks. Everyday I live in fear of what that may be. Most people would say why fear obeying a God that loves you. And I would say read the Bible. But I will obey and I will always remember the names Joel and Obadiah.

Jehova is God, not me. I am his creation and his servant, not Him, I am forever marked by a life I did not chose, but at the same time I did. Pretty confusing, welcome to life. Joel Obadiah, since then I just kind of hung on to it and let it creep up every once in a while, like now. Plus I kind of like it.
